Which iPhones work?

Kepton needs Apple Intelligence: iPhone 15 Pro or later, with Apple Intelligence turned on in Settings. The device check in the app shows what's missing, if anything.

Which languages?

Kepton works best with English conversations (US, UK, Canadian, Australian and other variants). Choose the conversation language in Settings. Other languages may be supported with lower transcription quality.

Does it work with the screen locked?

Yes. Kepton keeps listening with the screen locked, pauses for phone calls and carries on if you take out your AirPods. The orange microphone indicator shows whenever Kepton is listening.

Is my audio saved or uploaded?

No. Audio is turned into text on your iPhone and never saved. Nothing is sent anywhere. See the privacy policy.

How do I delete my transcripts?

• Open a conversation and tap Delete now.
• Delete everything in Settings › Delete all.
• Choose how long transcripts are kept in Settings › Keep transcripts.

Since nothing is backed up, deleted transcripts can't be recovered, by you or by us.

Do the others in the conversation need to know?

Yes. Kepton is for conversations you take part in, and everyone should know it's listening. In many places that's also the law.
